Avatar was a treat for the visual senses but a disappointment otherwise. The characters were caricatures in the extreme. Sully was mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon and the military guy in charge was somewhere between Stallone' Rambo and Arnold (I'll not try to spell the Calif Gov's last name). That would have been ok were it not for the hitting over the head with how bad humans really are - that we simply create villians or terrorists so that we can kill'm later. The movie was a good 30-60 minutes too long.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
