Nicolas Cage does a good job, Jay Baruchel is a very convincing geek. The character of Becky was quite superficial and I think a better job could have been done with the story as a whole if the "love interest" was removed and more time was spent on David's training and on developing the build-up to the climax, which all told was really rather predictable. Still, I wanted to take my 10-year-old daughter to a movie, this looked like a good choice, and I was right. If your kids like Harry Potter-type movies, chances are they'll like this.
