I have to agree with most all of the reviews that I have seen, though how this one got a 74% approval rating I don't know. I guess there are just that many "shoot'em up" types still out there who got excited by this pic. As far as period pieces, ya gotta give kudos to the prop man. This was researched to the max and well planned out, but the actors don't live up to the message, if there was one. Perhaps it was just a bad choice as far as bad guy biographies. the Marquis De Sade had already been done...
I got stuck on the front row of the theater, so I am not the best person to trust on reviews, but this was a guy flick, particularly, a "just back from the war" or "redneck guy" flick.
