I took my grandson who is 11 to see this movie. His friends had told him that he wouldn't like it. They were wrong, he loved it!! He has only seen parts of the Wizard of Oz and was worried that he might not understand this one without seeing that one. He told me he got it and that it didn't matter that he hadn't see The Wizard of Oz. I, on the other hand, had seen The Wizard of Oz. This movie helped me understand more about why the wizard wasn't much of a wizard, where Glenda came from and why the wicked witch was like she was. It was a most enjoyable movie for us both! We recommend it.
