I can overlook a lot of what others would complain about if I have fun at the movies. But this movie doesn't have a lot to complain about. There are a couple of hiccups in the storyline. But the plot is developed pretty well and includes multiple areas of conflict that provide several feel good moments as they come to resolution. The multiple areas of conflict make it more of a story than a cartoon, good for young minds developing an understanding of good storytelling. I could have done without some of the violence. Some of it was incidental to unfolding events, but some seems to suggest it is right to inflict pain in retaliation, which is not only unnecessary but inhumane. 3D visually appealing in many scenes and probably added greatly to the circus trapeze scenes, even though it was used gratuitously in some of the opening scenes.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Visually appealing. Characterizations stayed true to series. Tom Felton (D. Malfoy) did especially well with limited lines and screen time. Must have knowledge of previous events/characters in order to enjoy this movie. Epilogue done just right (I had been afraid it would be dry or tedious.) Details from the book that had to be left out due to time constraints were well chosen.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Movies from well liked books often disappoint. This movie told its story well, but alluded to other story lines without enough info, leaving questions rather than story. Perhaps the questions are to be answered in the continuation of the story. Perhaps they were answered in the book. i don't know, because I refused to read the book till after the movie came out. I read Order/Phoenix before seeing the movie and was very upset that I kept expecting a certain story line events, but they did not appear.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
