To say I was pleasantly surprised by Brüno would be a serious understatement. This film was slapstick-hilarious, politically apt, and even emotionally touching (at times. At other times, it was emotionally offensive, but still in a good way). It was a perfectly-timed send-up of straight masculinity, its dramas and farces, and its, shall we say, compensatory symbols. America NEEDS Brüno.
