Enjoyable, but still disappointing

Of course, nothing can compare to the actual book, but I was very disappointed in just how much the film differed from the book itself. The teen drama factor was completely over exaggerated (though it did add some humor) and the action fell very short of the past films. A scene was added that didn't progress the story at all and the ending left me saying "That's it?" The acting was not at all the problem for me here. The whole cast went above and beyond by adding new dimensions to their characters. That aspect was great. It was the story line that really bothered me. I can understand how this set up would be easier to follow for those who do not read the series, but for the many many fans who do, this was a subpar adaptation.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
