What an improvement...

...and I say that as a closet Twilight fan. I've always had a fondness for these movies because of their sheer amusingly awkward moments and while those were still present, the action of Eclipse made this film for the first time a well rounded product. The previous movies, I felt, had a hard time translating the largely emotional plot of the books (everything happens in Bella's head and you cannot narrate an entire film) into an actual movie. That didn't happen here.
I also felt the acting seemed greatly improved, it was much easier to take everyone seriously.
I want to see this movie again not just because I'm a fan but because it was genuinely good. And, let me just say, I wouldn't mind watching the "tent scene" over and over again.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
