While this was a good story, I have to say that the motion capture animation is just as bad as other films (Polar Express, Mars Needs Moms, Beowolf, etc.)
The distraction of the characters from the story made it impossible for me to enjoy. I don't know the TinTin stories so was greatly disappointed by the graphics. Movements seemed mechanical and other times forced.
If you are a huge Jack Black fan, then wait for the DVD, but don't waste your money by going to the theater. My grandson liked it but it was toilet humor that got laughs from the kids. Jack overshadows the story. Really sad for a such a classic
No, I do not recommend this movie.

King's Speech is a must see film. Fantastic use of the camera angles make it a film for the theatre. Timothy Spall played a great Winston Churchill, Helena Bonham Carter was wonderful as the Queen mother. Geoffry Rush was charming and Colin Firth IS King George VI!
