Johnny Depp gave a really good performance to the role of John Derringer. I thought he captured the complexity of the man who was one of this county's legendary popular heros and at the same time, a legendary criminal.
However, I did think that the movie dragged in some spots. The set decoration, costuming and makeup is absolutely dead on and wonderful. You really get a feel of the era.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
