I attend live performances which is the ideal way to enjoy musical presentation. But due to budget, a compromise to accept an opera movie version turned out to be a real treat, pleasure and joy. In all details this film is treasurable for the uniquely expressed art which interprets in a genius manner the already genius composition and libretto that is found in "Il Barbiere di Siviglia". Beauty of voices and exquisite abilities of singing and acting by the leads combine with strong interest-sustaining direction, scenery, lighting and costuming. The MET orchestra splendidly played and efforts of all participants produced a sensational production worthy to remind us that only in freedom will capability of love be lived and joyously succeed.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
