This movie had such great potential but fell woefully short. There is no story, no backstory, no how he goes from here to there. One day he is in Chicago, the next he is in Miami. You end up watching a time line and not a story.
Johnny Depp and Christian Bale do their best, but compared to other Depression Era crime stories, this one is lacking terribly.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
