The best of the old with the best of the new

This was a visually stunning movie. There were limitations with the special effects of 1982. In 2010, there are nearly limitless abilities. The graphic designers definitely get some props for this film. Even the storyline was interesting, very detailed, yet vague characters and back stories. I was only 2 when the original was released, but I wore out the vhs copy we had growing up. I now plan on testing the limits of the blu-ray 1080p when released 6 months from now!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Almost as good as the original

This movie has recieved good and bad reviews. In my opinion, this movie was true to the TV series/comics yet more "realistic." This was a 1980's kids cartoon that became a live action movie for said kids in 2009. If this were depicting real life, what would be the point of going to see a movie about robots from another planet? . . . to escape reality. Ok, there were some story "dead" spots, but in the end it all makes sense. If you still need closure, go see it again!
