Having read the book Charlie St. Cloud, I had high expectations. And to be honest, I liked this movie! It is a difficult story to tell because it has to do a lot with your beliefs about life after death and your own willingness to believe. In order to create a movie from this story line a lot had to be changed and lets be honest many may find parts cheesy. However I think Zac Efron was excellent. I think the previews should have better portrayed the themes of the movie such as death and not letting go because they highlighted too much of the romance. Overall great movie but an even better book!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
