Decent but did not meet expectations

This was an average movie. The acting (especially Johnny Depp) was very good, look and feel of the movie was beautifully authentic and it stuck pretty close to what really happened. The problem was that it was hamstrung by what really happened... which apparently didn't translate to screen as well as one might have thought. This seems to be a problem for a lot of biopics. It was too slow and there were periods where I almost lost interest completely. I'd recommend it for someone who is a Johnny Depp or period piece fan. Otherwise, wait for it to show on HBO.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
