Not worth the hype

Parts of this movie were filmed in our hometown, so it was neat to see those on the big screen. However, it did not follow history very close at all, and the cinematography was very poor. At times the photography almost seemed too modern without the filters to give it the historical look, and it didn't seem like the cameraman's hand was too steady. It definitely was not worth the effort to go see it on opening night. Johnny Depp could have better utilized his talents on other movies!
No, I do not recommend this movie.
