Corbijn has a history in photography and it shows. Beautiful detail and landscapes are places you'll visit if you chose to see this film. I've never been to Europe, but the way in which the director captures these small town places are just so eye catching. George, who never ceases to disappoint me in his acting skills, is at his best. He takes us along the quiet plotless character study in which he finally begins to contemplate that he's made the wrong choices in life. But as he tells the priest, "everything i've done i've had good cause to do." that doesn't mean he doesn't regret it, and so we watch the events (or lack of events) unfold that teach us he still wants a second chance at a normal life, but is it too late?
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Jeff Bridges Won't Disappoint

I've been a Jeff Bridges fan ever since I saw the Big Lebowski. After seeing that film, I delved into numerous DVD rentals with his in leading & supporting roles. In "Crazy Heart" Bridges not only proves his acting talent is one of the best among Hollywood's finest, but that he belongs among those with Oscar statuettes on their mantels. HIs endearing, yet disease-stricken character will make you smile, wince, frown, and cry, and once the credits role you will have seen an incredibly actor, incredibly play, an ordinary man who has the same quality as all of us...the need to be given love, and a second chance.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Drew Barrymore's directorial debut shines through the big screen with inspirational moments everyone can relate too. It's unexpectedly poignant, dealing with both the inner conflict of a teenage girl, and the all-to-familiar relationship between mother & daughter. The action scenes are awesome, fun, and wild. You can't help but cheer on the Hurl Scouts! I'd say this is certainly worth the trip to the theater!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
