You're better off not wasting your money on this mediocre 100-minute joke. I was expecting so much more with the long list of hilarious actors who participate in this movie. However, they're just going through the motions and they're not working with a good script. Wait for cable, which is money you're going to spend anyway, rather than spending additional money on this one.
As serious as the subject matter of this film is, Michael Moore manages to turn it into another one of this docu-jokes. There's no denying that his style is effective. He moves methodically through the various issues at hand in the economic debacle and he launches an attack on the corporations and individuals responsible. However, it's really more of the same techniques we've seen from him before. It's time for him to come up with new stuff, but there's enough here to recommend it to those who are on his side--which is distinctly to the far left.
This is an intelligent look at the difficulties associated with living a common life. It explores the pressures of society, religion, marriage, work and what keeps us together. It is not an easy film to sit through, but it delivers a well-crafted tale of pain and suffering. Honestly, I was expecting the main character to crack and begin a killing spree and instead it was pleasant to see him work his way through his life instead.
This movie exceeded my expectations and delivered one of the funniest spoofs on a horror film that I've ever seen. All the actors are pitch-perfect and there's an awesome cameo by ______ that you'll remember forever. This is one of those rare movies that only a few people were anxiously awaiting, but that most will enjoy. I certainly did!!!
The best part of this movie comes at the end during the last 10 minutes.. Those final 10 minutes are the only reason why I gave this movie 3-stars instead of 2. Picture this: you wake up from a deep sleep in a closed off section of a ship in the middle of space with paranoia and amnesia covered in a fresh layer of skin and green slime. In this day and age, that scenario is something we have all seen way too many times since the original Aliens was released. This is an ambitious attempt that feels unfocused and choppy. That said, it's an interesting attempt to expand the genre that's worth seeing for the ending. Don't expect much, but enjoy.
A group of artistically talented kids survive a tough performing arts high school and learn about the cruelties of life and the entertainment business. There's nothing terribly wrong with this film, but it plays like a series of mediocre dance scenes and musical acts. The story is barely present and the characters aren't developed or that interesting. You will feel as if you paid to watch a pretty good TV movie in a theater.
At 89 minutes, this film doesn't have time to develop a story line or its characters. The idea of living your daily life through perfect, great looking "surrogates" is good enough to produce a terrific movie, but I was disappointed in the end. If you do see it, you can look forward to one great chase scene involving Willis' character's surrogate showing his super-human strength. It's too bad that there aren't more scenes like it.
A woman who can't pick a winning relationship with a man turns out to be the ideal therapist for a guy who has lost his wife. "Love Happens" is a real tear-jerker of a romantic comedy. This is not a light-hearted movie like the ones Aniston is so good at making. This movie wants you to hurt inside before giving you the happy ending.
This movie was so bad that you don't care what happens to any of the characters or the plot 15 minutes after it has started. All we're paying and hoping for is that Megan Fox will show some skin, which she doesn't.
Damon is hilarious is this movie about the evils of corporate America, corn, and the US government. It just goes to show you that the old formula of twisting reality slightly makes for great fiction. You will enjoy the acting and every scene involving the government. Bakula is also very good.
