Keener is perfectly cast as a bleeding heart second-hand furniture store owner who finds it easy to make money, and loves to give it away to those in need. This movie will move you, especially by Keener's well-tempered anxiety over the tragedies of life. The characters are all ingeniously cast and perform well together.
There's a housing project in England called "The Estate" that's as bad as any neighborhood in the USA. Harry's old buddy lives there and he's bullied by the gun-packing teenagers in the neighborhood. One day he decides to fight back and things go really badly for him. Harry can't stand by and watch society deteriorate any longer, so he buys some guns and seeks revenge for his friend. The situation keeps spiraling for the worse as Harry thirst for revenge drives him. Caine was great!
This movie is a remake of a 2007 film by Frank Oz. This new film plays well and is entertaining to watch. Special mention for Danny Glover who steals the show as the brother of the deceased who ends up saying "I always thought he had a little sugar in his tank."
Do you like Audi cars? What about frozen food and golfing clothes by Lacoste? If so, you might enjoy watching a 1 1/2 hr commercial where these products are plugged by a fake family sales team that's placed in an affluent neighborhood. David Duchovny and Gary Cole are funny; Demi is irritating and Amber Heard is very willing to take it all off. There's plenty of eye candy, but not enough substance in this movie about materialism and the power of marketing.
This movie kept me at the edge of my feet guessing what would happen next. I enjoyed the characters, the Argentinian historical elements, and the thriller-based storyline. You will be mesmerized by it all and leave the theater thinking about what happened.
This movie is a blast to watch! The actors are funny and the action is constant! See it for the actors, the comedy, and the action and you won't be disappointed. The story is simple, but that works in its favor.
This movie is terrible! It's essentially a movie about the doubts and challenges that busy married couples face when they try to re-kindle their romance. Carell and Fey are funny at times, but nothing can save the horrible script they have to follow. I was bored several times between jokes and felt ripped off at the end. Wait for cable to see this so-so film.
A mother, a father, a brother, and a pregnant girlfriend grieve the death of a teenager in different ways, becoming more and more removed from each other. The performances are touching and the topic is progressively depressing. However, there are moments of profoundness that moved me. This movie is best for those who have dealt with the loss of a loved one, preferably a long time ago.
This movie is an FX extravaganza. If you've seen the 1981 movie with the same title, you're not in for anything new with this one. However, the visuals are terrific and you will be entertained with a collection of stories from the best of Greek Mythology.
