Clooney plays an American killer who hides out in a quaint Italian small town. We're certain from the beginning that he's a killer, but the mysteries are never explained. The ending is also unsatisfying and insensible. Skip this one unless you're a diehard Clooney fan. Better yet, rent "Michael Clayton."
This movie details the early career of the French criminal, Jacques Mesrine, AKA "The Man of a Hundred Faces." " Mesrine" the movie is thrilling to watch. The main character, Vincent Cassel, is fantastic and drives the movie with a commanding performance. The supporting cast is also terrific, including Gerard Depardieu as a sort of Godfather like mob boss who mentors Mesrine and backs him up until his death. The second part of this movie is due to be released next week, on 9/3/10. I'm glad I saw it and look forward to the 2nd part.
Every character in this movie is hate-able and you want them to die--and, for the most part, they do. There's plenty of nudity, blood, severed bodies, and bad dialog to keep things simple and primal. I found the cameos to be amusing and well placed. You know what you're going to get with a movie like this one and Piranha delivers the goods. I hope there's a sequel.
This is not a light comedy of human errors. I'd characterize this movie as a cross between a Woody Allen movie and a Farrelly brother's movie. However, there are moments of terrific comedy in it and you do end up caring about the characters. See it if you're in the mood for a farce.
An Australian family of criminals takes in an underage teen when his mother overdoses on heroin. He quickly learns how dangerous they really are and begins to develop survival skills. I found this movie to be thrilling and highly entertaining to watch. If you like American gangster films, you're sure to enjoy this movie about Australian organized crime.
This movie was a lot of fun to watch. The story is fresh and the comic-book physics make it unlike any teen movie I've seen. The actors also do a great job. Oh, and the music was great! You'll be glad you saw it!
As a guy, I can tell you that this is the last movie you want to see. Roberts plays a woman who's trying to find herself through spiritual experiences that involve inspirational places, good food, and strangers. I found it impossible to care about any of the characters, including Roberts', and I was glad it was over in the end.
This movie tracks the accidental jackpot struck by the first pornographers to effectively bill for views on the internet using a credit card. It also includes great twists involving the Russian mob, a sleazy lawyer played by James Caan, and solid performances by Luke Wilson and Giovanni Ribisi. This movie is very entertaining and worth seeing.
This is one stupid movie! Not even the top-notch actors can make this script work. I was sorry I paid to see it within 20 minutes after the movie started. This movie is not worth seeing in the theater or even on cable.
