This movie is a waste of time and money! Yes, the premise of aliens on the Moon and a government conspiracy can be entertaining. However, no one involved in this film has any talent and you will be disappointed. Save your time and money and skip this movie entirely. It's not even worth seeing on cable or free TV.
This is a murder mystery dressed up with a bunch of martial arts and quite a bit of science fiction. There's plenty of magic, including shape shifters. The story is the best part of this movie. It's fast-paced, action-packed, and ever-changing. Basically, it's the story of a woman who is about to be crowned empress and there's a clan that's not too happy about it. Enter a controversial detective by the name of Dee. He was once a rebel against the empress, but now he accepts the job to investigate a series of bizarre deaths where the victim catch fire. The plot is captivating and as easy to follow as it is surprising.
This is quite possibly the worst movie ever made. That cast can't act; the sharks don't look real; there's no story; and, worst of all, you'll find yourself losing interest throughout. And, really, how's that possible when you have these man-eaters chasing down beautiful women to devour them and jumping out of the water 20 feet to swallow their boyfriends whole? I assure you, there's nothing special to see here.
Saldana makes a great assassin! This is a non-stop action movie with plenty of action and shootings. The story is difficult to follow at times, however, because Saldana's beauty is distracting!
Set in an evangelical society, this story touches on love, faith, and friendships. This story is as much about God as it is about the absence of God's presence. The actors are well cast and easy to care about.
I went into this movie cold and was pleasantly surprised. It's about two lesbian cousins who love each other deeply around an intolerant Iranian culture. The culture, along with it's intolerance is exhaustively explored in this movie. It's well thought out and deeply moving.
This is a brilliant British gangster movie with brutal characters and a profound, one-sided love story running through it. The main character is a young gangster trying to take over a gang after the death of its leader. He's a heartless man with a calculated nature who gets involved with an innocent, under aged woman when he suspects that she'll reveal what she knows about a murder. Their relationship develops around his attempts to thrive as a gangster, and they ultimately marry. She's deeply in love, but he can't love. She touches him a bit as he tries to deal with a complex situation that never seems to work in his favor. This is a terrific movie that will have you guessing throughout. I highly recommend it!
"One Day" is about the tragedy of true love. Two college friends love each other as friends for years before realizing that they're ideal for each other. Unfortunately, the years pass them by, not to mention more than 90 minutes of the movie's running time, before they realize that they're in love and marry. There's plenty here to like, especially if you're looking for intense romance in a movie. However, the story is tiresome and boring at times.
This movie is ridiculously bad at everything, especially dialog and keeping to the story. The main plot is about revenge: a son (Conan) witnesses his father getting killed when he's young and sets out to kill the man who did it. Fast forward at least twenty years and you have the fearless Conan banging heads wherever he goes. Unfortunately, this movie, and its story, feel contrived and poorly thought out. There are plenty of entertaining fight sequences, but that's it. You can't care about any of the characters and, if you're anything like me, you'll lose interested half-way through and just focus in on the fighting and not care about the conclusion.
There's not much you haven't seen in this film about a vampire with enough social skills to blend into a small community in Clark County, NV. The cast is what's best about this movie. Everyone from Farrel to Yelchin to Mintz-Plasse do an admirable job of being funny and creepy. The story is similar to the original, but with much better effects, comedic timing, and direction. The result is an entertaining movie about vamps who eat apples and teens who research them. See it if you like vampire movies or the cast appeals to you.
