In most cases I would stick to storyline and character development as my topic, but this is one film that needed to be finished before being released. Its the 1st time I've been to a "sort of 3D movie". At times, I took the 3D glasses off to see the 2D parts more clearly. How hard would it have been to make the whole thing 3D? After all, this is the 21st Century and this was supposed to be a futuristic film..
I felt a bit depressed with all the Slum scenes. Films set a mood, if there is a District 10, I hope the focus is not so much on Garbage and cow heads. I understand the inspiration is from an actual slum, but I don't see many folks going to a major motion picture about the issue, Other than that, the story kept us interested, it provoked quite a bit of discussion afterwards and the "Transformer" type robots were well done. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say 8
The kids and I both enjoyed this film. The story keeps you interested and the producers ability to adapt the script to kids that are becoming young adults, worked well.
