Percy Jackson - The LIghting Thief

I thought this movie was ok. The characters who were part animal/part human looked actually pretty good. Like most kids books made into movies, I felt Hollywood tried to push the limits on the sexual appeal. In the book these kids were 12 years old. The casino scene was a bit overboard. This is a kids book/movie, can Hollywood keep it that way? Also, the story line is always different. Some important characters in the book were left out. What about the Oracle, Clarisse, Ares and Kronos the Titan? Then what was with Persephone? She had nothing to do with Percy getting the bolt. Some of it was overacted but my 12 year old daughter who loves the Percy Jackson books thought the movie was great. I would still bring her to see it again.
