Graphically Astounding Movie

I saw this film Friday during a Midnight Re-release showing. It was in IMAX-3D. The special effects and computer animation was flawless. Creatures looked incredibly real, not animated. Unfortunately with the 3D effects everything was still slightly blurred around the edges even through the glasses, so the 3D is definitely not perfected, but they are getting close. The story line is very standard Hollywood, romance/stranger in a strange land. And the theme was very reminiscent of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. The acting was fairly well done and the chemistry between the main three characters was quite believable. Definitely worth seeing on the big screen, but maybe not for the price of nearly $20 a ticket.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
