Bit of a letdown

I'd give this version of John Dilinger's life a 6 out of 10. I've seen the original movie, and this one pales in comparison. I would recommend it to friends only if they had not seen the original version. Johnny Depp did a great job, as usual, but I think the part written for him was a bit skewed toward the more violent side. I preferred the original movie's protrayal of Dilinger as more of a legendary figure.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
