I'm going to just make this short, special effects were great, storyline was choppy, it felt like they put all the episodes from season 1 on a board, threw darts at it and whatever the dart hit they took pieces of that episode and threw it in the movie. The kid who played Aang was adorable but none of the characters were nothing like the series characters. Save your money and rent it.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

One of Burton's ok films

This film was very enjoyable and it looked good in 3D but for the price of going to see it in 3D instead of 2D didn't seem worth it. I think it's great that they are making more movies into 3D but they really should start bringing the price down because some movies are worth the extra price - this one you could still see in the regular theater and not be disappointed. The story was good, Johnny Depp steals the scene as always, but it is a typical Tim Burton film. Some of his films are awesome and inspiring, others are just ok, this happened to be one of the ok films, but if I go to see it again it will be in the regular theater.
This was a really good mystery/suspense movie. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Scorsese movies or looking to just go to the movies for a night out. You won't be disappointed. The plot was a little predictable but it was still a great story.
James Cameron has directed, written, and produced some of the best and most memorable movies that I personally have ever had the pleasure of watching and now, with this movie, he's sharing his vision with us again. I'm truly looking forward to seeing it, and yes, I've already decided to get the DVD. Thanks JC!
I don't think they could have picked a better director than Guillermo del Toro for this movie! His vision and character design was just what Hellboy needed. This second movie was way better than the first!
