Bay has a knack for creating summer "blockbuster" type movies and this is yet another example. Yes the movie has some cheesy lines and scenes that were meant to be more funny than they were, but the movie is an action film. I expected to see action and action is what I got. The special effects, especially on IMAX, were absolutely incredible. My only complaint regarding the special effects is that many of the fight scenes were difficult to follow due to the closeness of the camera angle to the action...at times it was a blur as to who was firing at whom. Overall a pretty solid film but nothing groundbreaking.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
