Tons of explosions, absolutely no intelligence to speak of. Normally I wouldn't care that much, since I loved the first one and it wasn't exactly the smartest movie ever, but they tried so hard to give this one a huge backstory and intricate plot and it ended up falling flat on its face. They try to pull off these big emotional scenes, but since they never bother infusing the characters with any personality those end up failing, too. The fight scenes are awesome though, even if they do get a bit tiresome by the end of it. It was about a half hour too long.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
