Fans from back in the day, you definitely need to see this. It doesn't follow the original series to a T, but it's close enough. The character designs are interesting and you can see Michael Bay's fingerprint on everything. If you bring a die hard fan that will not stand for even the tiniest alteration or deviation, you'll here nonstop chatter from the seat next to you, then again in the car, and probably the next time you see them...as well as for the rest of the week Those of you who usually stay til the end of the movie looking for the usual goodie, don't bother. There was nothing there. But overall, I'd probably go see it again. It's still a great movie, even with its little flaws and worth buying once it comes out on DVD.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
