For the die-hard fans of the books, it was an attempt...at best. However, for anyone casually interested or a fan of the movies, this one takes the cake! Nonstop action, and some of Snape's best acting in all 8 movies. The pace of Part 2 felt significantly more 'rushed' than Part 1, but it didn't really detract, I simply remembered so much more happening in the book, but movies have to make sacrifices.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This was a very funny movie. However, I would caution that if you are not a fan of Arrested Development and the typical Jason Bateman quick witted play-on-words styled humor then you would not find this humorous at all.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

And it'll be fine! It ran a long time and had trouble within scenes remembering if that particular one was supposed to be funny or serious. Regardless, I loved it. It lives up to the franchise.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie was absolutely fantastic. Granted the plot was predictable, however, Jeff Bridges did a great job and made the most of it. The "jedi master'" Bridges is something to behold. Finally, of all the movies I've seen in Imax 3d this one is probably the most worthy. Graphics are flawless and the battles on the grid are as lifelike as a computer game could be!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This is hands down the best movie of the summer. If you can only see one movie in theaters this year, Inception is your best bet!

Not for Fans

While the special effects used for the bending were amazing (especially coupled with well choreographed martial arts), the overall film was a disappointment. For any fan of the animated series, the story was abrupt, the characters were poorly cast, and the ending was detrimentally altered. The fire nation was made up of Indians . . . not sure where anyone working on the film thought that was a good idea.
All that said, if they get the money to make book 2, I'll go see it.
