Lots of action and comedy. Basic right vs. wrong story. Enough plot for both children and adults. For adults old enough to remember, they can't help but compare it to the Escape to Witch Mountain movies. Special effect really good. No swearing which is good as well.
The problem with a comic book movie is that you have to tell the story of how the character began and still have enough action to keep viewer interested. Iron Man delivers on all fronts. Robert Downey is perfect as Tony Stark (life imitating art, perhaps?) and Jeff Bridges as his evil mentor Obadiah Stane is spot on as well. Paltrow is adequate as Pepper Potts and the chemistry between the two leads is believable. T. Howard as James Rhodes is a great choice and it will be interesting to see how closely they follow events in the comic. With the exception of an overly , unnecessary graphic scene between Tony and a female reporter in the beginning of the movie, a great movie for the entire family. Well done!
