We don't go to the movies very often, so we found the audio very loud - will bring ear plugs next time. Overall the movie was good (after all it was Star Trek!), but the CG got to be a little busy and hard to keep up with. Too much action packed into too little time. The Jim Kirk 'beginnings' theme was entertaining for those of us who have kept up with this story from day one. It's too bad William Shatner didn't have a cameo appearance like Leanord Nimoy.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
