This movie really appeals to the kid inside all of us. The CGI is incredible. The story is great, too. The 3D aspect made it that much better. At one point during a flight scene I got a bit of vertigo because it just sucked me right in! Go watch this movie.
I got dragged to this movie, so that should give you some indication of my expectations going in. If it doesn't, I'll just tell you: I had low expectations.
The movie was predictable, except for the fact that it was basically a random mess from about ten minutes in until the end. The changes in tempo were pretty slow, and there wasn't much character development at all. Some of you might say, "Her character got developed in the first one!" but since this is over ten years later and the whole point of the movie is her trying to find herself, character development is a must.
Fun to watch, but not a movie that really sucks you in or takes you anywhere. See it if you want to, but don't expect to be blown away.
