I thoroughly enjoyed The Proposal but my male friend who went with me said he wouldn't be telling his colleagues he attended the film. Even though I heard him laugh out loud on a few occasions, he said "You owe me one" and he gets to choose our next film. He thought it highly predictable and was annoyed by Sandra's overly botoxed face. I, on the other hand, thought she was a delight (albeit too old for Ryan Reynolds) and I will recommend it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
