If you like to go to the movies to see beautiful imagery set to soothing music this might be for you. You get at least 45 minutes of nothing but this. If you want to watch something that at the end you have no idea what the movie was about, this also might be for you. But I go to the movies to learn or be entertained and this movie did neither. When it was finished I had absolutely no idea what this movie was about. Yes. it had Brad Pitt and Sean Penn, 2 of the better actors of our time (I love Sean Penn!) Penn never said a word. Only after the movie, when 1 patron among many, explained that it was just about life-the creation - beautifully done but for way too long, and the life of a middleclass midwestern family, which in no way resembled mine did I have any understanding. She said the story reminded her of her family.
So if you want to be bored, (my significant other fell asleep and and my friend's boyfriend did the same) and be shaking your head, try it. Otherwise, stay away.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Squidge
Should be mandatory viewing for every government official, eeducational professional, and anyone who cares about our children. Extremely well done but very scary. Congrats to those who have been willing to buck the system to make a difference.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
