This certainly wasn't what I thought a Disney holiday movie to be. Overall, the animation was stunning and I must admit, at times it scared me! It was true to the book, which surprised me for a Disney flick and I would have to say I was impressed. However, I WOULD NOT recommend this movie to anyone with little children. I believe it would be too scary and the old fashioned British style language might be a little hard for them to understand.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I thought all the actors did an excellent job. However, Vincent D'Onofrio stole the show with his exceptional performance as the concerned father. The entire movie was very well done and not a bit over done. I think the end might have been just a little cutesy, still I wouldn't have changed it. I HIGHLY recommend this movie to anyone, whether you enjoy mob films or not. I sincerely hope they release this movie nation wide and not just sweep it under the rug the way they usually do with independent films. Thank you so much, Mr. D'Onofrio, for brightening our lives with your exquisite talent!
