Tim Burton and Johnny Depp have done it again! "Alice in Wonderland," as seen in IMAX 3-D, was spectacular. All of the performances were great, makeup, scenery, costumes, acting, creature special effects -- all WONDER(land)FULLY done. Depp, as usual, gives the audience a believable character and added charisma and charm. There are so many wonderful things going on in this movie that I'll have to see it again just to concentrate on all the subtleties going on in the background that I may have missed. Kudos to Burton and Depp--see you at the Oscars in 2011.
Oh, and wouldn't it be a great idea if Tim Burton and James Cameron teamed up to make a film? Wowie!
Pixar just keeps making them better each time. I can't recall one single scene in "UP" that I didn't enjoy. It's heartwarming, funny, brilliant! Whoever said that kids wouldn't understand it is totally wrong. There were kids sitting on either side of me (not mine), that knew what was going on throughout the movie. They laughed and cried AND when the film was over, they clapped their little hands--something I've never experienced before at the movies. Pixar, keep doing what you're doing--your artists are astoundingly talented--everyone it took to put this film together should be proud of themselves.
