It was what you might expect from Tim Burton. Overall, a good rendition of he story. I think the 3-D effects could have been a bit better, comparing it to Avatar and several others.

Good Movie, Great CGI Detail

My wife & I usually rent movies and watch them on the home theater system, but the 3-D and IMAX experiences intrigue us.
The new Ice Age is a fun movie and it is truly amazing how detailed CGI is these days. Putting it in 3-D definitely enhances that whole experience. Although, the in-your-face 3-D effects could have had a little more pop.
We liked the storyline and characters. It took their lives to the next natural step.
We usually try to guess the voices of the characters in the animated movies. Since it had been a while since we saw the last one, I could only guess two (Ray Romano & Queen Latifah).
Overall, it is an entertaining flick that I would recommend to others, especially in 3-D.

Excellent movie! Really enjoyed the characters and special effects - especially in IMAX.
I normally do not go out to see movies, since we have a nice home theater set-up, but a friend recommended it in IMAX. Would highly recommend seeing it on the B-I-G screen!
