After being touched by the sentimental, and often heartbreaking moments throughout the movie, as well as being blown away by the enormous forces (errrr I mean voices) of Gladys Knight, Mr. Winans, and Mary J. Blige I would enter non-stop laughter from the lines of Madea, and her/his male character. Then back to the serious moments, followed by more serious moments, then lightened moments with tons of laughter. Be sure to stay for the credits, 'cause the outtakes are even MORE hilarious!
A+++ to Tyler Perry on this film. Hands down the BEST movie, yet from him.
I "paid" a discounted price (a movie pass card) sometime ago, and finally used it when I saw this movie. I was extremely disappointed in it. One-third of the way into the movie I was ready to leave, but I held on in hopes it would become more interesting...... I should've left! There were a few parts of the movie that had some hilarity to them, but they were also the parts shown in the previews so it lost some comedic value as I almost knew what to expect. See it if you please, but I will not reccomend this to anyone.
It is very few and far between that a comedy is as hilarious as the previews and pre release date hype makes a movie out to be. This movie is one of those exceptions. Hilarious from beginning.... to the TMI end. You've got to see it!
