Deserving of the Hype

The movie's creators promised the fans a movie better than the first, and they delivered. Acting is much better, filming is better, make up is MUCH better, and I think the viewer feels more. Although there is still room for improvement (ex: Alice's vision towards the end of the movie is unintentionally silly), the end result is true homage to the book. (THANK YOU CHRIS WEITZ.) I was surprised and delighted by several critical scenes in the book and by the visual adaptation/interpretation. Well done! They hit the target!
