After seeing a number of summer movies, this was the best by far. The comedy doesn't rely on cheap sophomoric laughs like so many others. it actually comes from intelligent writing and fabulous acting. The audience in the theater clapped enthusiastically when it was over. Unfortunately, there's only one theater in Phoenix (the 5th largest city in the U.S.) that will play an offbeat little gem like this. Why aren't these types of movies being distributed more widely? Frustrating.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, intelligent comedy
Great production values. Good-looking people. A well-crafted, if predictable, plot. And an ending that leaves room for a sequel. Overall, highly entertaining.
This movie really makes you feel like you're part of the action in Iraq. Every dusty, dirty and unpredictable part of it. Great characterizations. Surprise cameos by big stars. And lots of action. Had me riveted to the screen the entire way.
Brad Cooper is easy on the eyes. The dude with the beard isn't...but he's riveting to watch. The guy getting married is milquetoast. And the guy who lost his tooth is good. Overall, it was a great escapist flick that made me wish I'd had some kind of adventure in my boring 9 to 5 life.
The Twilight film plot stayed true to the book and many kudos to the casting agents - the actors represented the characters perfectly! Edward is incredibly hot.
This movie wasn't as "thrilling" as the review claimed, but it was utterly fascinating - a case study for how passion and obsession can be used as a force to create something bordering on genius.
