Let me just start off by saying I was never a huge 'Men in Black' fan, but I have seen all of them for one reason or another. This time, I decided to take my kids and their cousins to a matinee (8,10,10, & 12) because they wanted to see it. Ok, I wasn't expecting much, but I was wrong! It had plenty of action, grossness (lol), funny dialogue, and best of all, a great story with an ending I really wasn't expecting. It kept us all interested from beginning to end, and was really worth going. Josh Brolin was fantastic as a young Tommy Lee Jones, and Will Smith was funny as usual. The only thing I kind of cringed at was the use of some foul language; not the best for the kids, but certainly not words they haven't heard before. Anyway, lots of fun, not too long, may be a little too intense for kids under 7 with the alien scenes, but overall, a great movie. Definately go see!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, funny, lots of action
If you are looking for 2 1/2 LONG hours of constant explosions and gratuitous butt shots of Megan Fox, then this is the movie for you. I think the target audience here was teen boys. I had a headache by the end, and was so happy when the credits rolled. The first one was much better imo, and they could have cut about an hour off of this one. Oh, and just like Megan Fox, I always carry the tools needed to make a plaster cast in the middle of the desert.. You never know when you will need them!! :)
This was a really sweet family movie. The kids (7&9 yrs.) thought it was funny, and Mom did as well. It had a fairly predictable ending, but was still enjoyable. Definately a great way to spend time with the family!
Typical chick flick. If you like seeing the same story told over and over again, with mediocre acting and typical humor, then you will enjoy this film. Subject matter is also at times way too mature for anyone younger than 16.
My entire family loved this movie. We were very fortunate in that we were able to see it in IMAX at THE actual Smithsonian museum, the weekend it opened! Very exciting and special for all of us, as we toured the Natural History and Air and Space museums before we saw the film. Great movie either way. The kids will enjoy it.
Wonderful family movie! My 7 and 9 yr. olds LOVED it. I enjoyed it as much as they did, maybe even more. Very touching storyline; I shed a few tears in the beginning. Has great lessons (for the kids), and reminds adults what's really important in life. Definately worth seeing! :)
