Eddie Murphy, as always, is adept at the exasperated Dad role, but his daughter comes close to stealing the movie. She is very expressive and has a surprisingly large range for a child actor. The plot is a bit of an overreach but the stars make it fun to watch. I took my seven-year-old son and I was worried that the stock market plot would bore him but he enjoyed it and laughed several times. It won't be a classic but it is a fun and safe choice for the family.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
