This film is visually stunning. The photography, special effects and editing are amazing. It was interesting to learn Kirk's background (the premise of the plot). There were discrepancies in the story that lead me to believe it is a setup for a sequel (yet another!). But, if they continue to be this good, keep bringing on the sequels.
The only problem was the theatre. They showed the film at deafening audio levels. While I am sure they planned to increase the drama with the audio volume, the ear-splitting rock concert sound levels actually interfered with my ability to concentrate on the whole film experience. The audio and video need to work as a unit. In this case one far outweighed the other, causing a worrysome imbalance.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
