Often, our whole lives seem driven by the quest for success, to the exclusion of basic civility and compassion This film portrays a family's genuine interest in a young man who needs a family. Sensitively done, the film shows the Touhy family to be compassionate without being condescending. In this film many, blinded by materialism, will see another way of addressing the haves vs. the have-nots. The wealthy family never apologized for their resources They simply shared them. Sandra Bullock was dynamic.
