This was a pretty good movie, although it was not as good as the first. I was disappointed by the use of profanity, but at least it was kept to a minimum. The characters were fun and the story simple but enjoyable. Amy Adams did a wonderful job, and I was surprised when I nearly cried at the end. Overall, it was worth seeing, and I expect I will buy it on DVD when released.
This movie was a disappointment to me. The cast did a fairly good job and there were a few very funny moments, but other than that there wasn't much to recommend this movie. It was unnecessarily coarse, and the amount of cursing was excessive. It went back and forth between potty humor and "adult" humor, neither of which does much for me. Overall, I would say the best audience is probably pre-teen boys, but since I am not one, I was not impressed. I left the movie wishing I could have that two hours of my life back.
I would highly recommend this movie. I went on a date and the both of us enjoyed it completely. The kids in the theater seemed to enjoy it, but I think the adults left touched the most. No matter your age, don't miss out on this one. It will surpass all your expectations.
