I love Robert Downey, but please, I'm sorry , but I watch movies and TV shows in which the actors are from England or Australia, and their charactors are american and their accents flawless. I spent more time asking my wife what Downey just said, than watching the screen. also if you are going to end the movie with a trailer for the sequel, at least show us something that would make us want to see it. Jude Law, though, was outstanding as Watson. As far as special effects, you saw them all in the trailer for the movie, and that's not good. But what should we expect from Madonna's husband. Definately a DVD movie at best.
for pure comedy affect, I have'nt laughed out loud this much at a movie in a while. Yes many of the laughs were predictable, and for those who think it was for kids only, I don't get that at all. Like I have always said, movies should be made with the purpose of entertaining the viewer and allowing a brief escape from the sometimes cold and cruel reality of everyday life. If you want to sit for 2 hours and be depressed stay at home and watch the news, if you want to laugh and or cry and or be amazed by the unbeleiveable go to the movies!!! Thanks for the yucks!!!! Bravo , a PG rated movie for all!!!
