I enjoyed this revision by Tim Burton. Although, they try to slightly revamp the story a bit, it's still the Alice we pretty much know and love. Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter definitely enjoyed their roles, and I feel they did them justice. If you are looking to be blown away, don't. It's just a nice family film leaning toward the slightly older child that's not going to have bad dreams because they saw something kinda scary. All in all, Wonderland is a fun visual journey.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie was a treat to see in the theater! If you aren't into fantasy/sci fi, not sure if it would be your thing, unless you are only going for special effects. It's a typical "good v. evil" story for the modern age. Yes we humans are baaad, cuz we don't appreciate nature and life! You ok with that assumption, then you will be fine with this movie. Lots of violence, typical of any fantasy warrior clash, but oh so beautifully done!
If you want a treat, see it in a regular screen, then go back second time to a 3D, then the third time go to IMAX 3D. Each step up adds to the amazement of the film, and another level to appreciate it on.
Trust me, you will see it twice! Everyone isn't commenting on the visual imagery for nothing.
