Brat Trek

I had this huge fear that the new movie was gonna 'jerk' up the crew. You know, these recent Hollywood revisions have a way of turning good guys into jerks. And in the first 20 minutes that is exactly what happens. After that, however, it is full blown Trek with the new Brat Pack crew doing their best to keep the inspiration of the original cast alive.
Although it does not explore any strange new worlds, seek out new life or civilizations, or go where any Trek film has not gone before, this new Star Trek offers the most adventure and character punch than any action film since the original Die Hard 20 years ago.
J.J. Abrams did the impossible after 45 years, 5 TV series and 11 movies: he made us want more.
