Not your father's Star Trek, but better.

I thoroughly enjoyed this new chapter in the Star Trek saga. I have no bias towards a Star Wars or Star Trek movie formula. When reading reviews at the lower end of these reviews I feel these viewers have a dislike of the Star Wars formula. I also feel because of the "plot twist" at the beginning ( don't go late ), the Star Wars feel of the action can go hand in hand with the Star Trek formula. This movie can be viewed as both a foundation and continuation movie, because of this "plot twist". This lets the new actors reprise themselves into the old characters. I viewed this in the traditional indoor theater, not the IMAX version. The sound was loud at the beginning. I will most likely go again, soon.
